NORTH BAY ? The Business Journal has selected 14 nonprofit leaders from around the North Bay for its inaugural Nonprofit Leadership Awards recognizing individuals for their innovation, community engagement and growth.
The awards will be presented as part of the the Oct. 24 Nonprofit Boot Camp presented by Pisenti & Brinker LLP and North Bay Business Journal. In addition to the awards, the conference will deliver the latest information from experts in accounting, finance, law, technology, and organizational development and how they impact nonprofit funding, staff and board.?
?Nonprofits are the critical third-sector, providing jobs, buying services and goods and ? most importantly ? helping our citizens most in need and enriching all our lives with the arts,? said Business Journal Editor and Associate Publisher Brad Bollinger. ?These leaders deserve our thanks and recognition.?
Keynote speaker for the boot camp will be Kim Klein, author and fundraising consultant with Klein & Roth Consulting. She will be speaking on Our Future: It is not just about the economy and Gearing up for your year-end fundraisers.?

The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Sheraton Sonoma County ? Petaluma Hotel. ?Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ?Tickets are $45 per person, for lunch and the awards program.
