Zynga releases Zombie Smash, turns Android statue into a zombie to celebrate
Although it has been available in Canada for quite some time now, folks in the US are only just now getting access to Zynga's Zombie Smash which, is a castle defense came with a whole lot of unrelenting zombies. The game has some pretty cool features built into:
- Campaign Mode: Challenges players to survive for over 31 intense days against the mounting zombie threat and another 30 nights in the Camp Nowhere campaign
- Endless Siege Mode: Confronts players with a never-ending zombie assault - hold out as long as possible, racking up an ever-rising body count
- Sandbox Mode: Gives players all the tools to rain destruction down on those stinking, moaning zombies without any of the peril
- Bonus Nights: Smash and destroy zombies in new ways. Unlock this special mode through extended gameplay and by using your braaains!
In addition to being a fun game, you'll also get a live wallpaper bundled with it to make use of that is both optimized for tablets and phones, like the game. To celebrate the launch, Zynga has also decked out the Android statue at Google in some zombie attire. Zombie Smash is available now in the Google Play Store for $.99 and be sure to check out the video past the break of the Android statue being zombified.

Google asks car makers 'Ullo John, wanna self-driving motor?'
Larry Page's tenure as Googler-in-chief has heralded the death of many ambitious experiments, but even he refuses to kill the self-driving car. His project head, Anthony Levandowski, has now asked the car makers of Detroit to sign up with Mountain View for hardware testing, saying that if driverless cars are not ready by the next decade, then it's "shame on us as engineers." There's still some way to go before the tech is road-worthy, but Google is already working with insurers to work out how your car is going to handle making that call to Geico when things go wrong.

Incubator Lemnos Labs Is Looking For Its Next Class Of Hardware Startups
It seems like everyone's worried about an incubator bubble, but seriously ? Lemnos Labs is doing something different. It's not just incubating for the latest social network or iPhone app. Instead, it's looking for startups that build hardware. At first, hardware and incubators sounds like an odd match, since the incubator boom is driven, at least in part, by the way that the Web has driven down the costs of starting a company. Hardware, on the other hand, sounds expensive and not conducive to the rapid iteration that that's now part of startup doctrine. 'Twilight' Star's Nude Photo Scandal Rare For Young Cast
Kiowa Gordon's leaked pics might seem standard for young Hollywood, but 'Twilight' Tuesday notes that the cast has largely avoided scandal.

With all the glitz and glamour associated with being a young celebrity in Hollywood, it's hard to imagine there are any cons to fame and fortune. It's safe to say that one of the more precarious aspects of being universally recognized is the fact that any time a celebrity does anything worth a tweet, photograph or snarky comment, they have the potential to generate many a headline.
The amount of news coverage a star commands depends, of course, on the level of public interest, for which the minute details in the lives of Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and the "Twilight" cast are of great importance.
A lot of the newer stars find out about their headline-generating factor the hard way, as has been the case with Kiowa Gordon and a batch of private photos that were posted to a pornographic website. Never mind the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the incident; by all appearances, Gordon is doing his best to resolve the matter and move on. The "nude photos discovered" headline is so prevalent in pop culture that it's almost expected.
Speaking of expectations, because there are so many ways in which a young celeb might be photographed doing something naughty — they're teenagers, for cryin' out loud! — I think we can all take a moment to appreciate the fact that on the whole, the entire "Twilight" cast has done an excellent job in upholding the ideals associated with their role-model statues. There have been a few leaked photos here and there but no evidence of any kind of truly inappropriate behavior that is often associated with young stars. It really is an amazing feat when you think about how many young actors we're talking about and how scrutinized they are. When I think about some of the dumb things I did in my teens, I thank my lucky stars that Facebook and Twitter were not around. I can't even begin to think about how difficult it would be to navigate as a young celebrity.
So as much as we love to obsess over our favorite stars, let's try to not sweat the small stuff and appreciate them for being worthy of our continued admiration.
